Summary
The Welsh Highland Railway has relaunched after a 75-year closure. Use this classroom resource to help Key Stage 2 history pupils understand using historical sources.
Fare-paying passengers can once again ride the entire 25-mile length of the historic line for the first time since 1936.
This primary classroom resource is designed for Year 5 and Year 6 history lessons. It can be used as part of the accompanying lesson plan, created for Teachers TV, which includes activities and extension tasks based on this topic. In this lesson pupils will learn the history of British railway.
